AIG

Two Powerline posts about AIG, one that provides even more details about the bonuses, making it obvious that they shouldn't be taken away, and the other that lays out some hypotheticals using abortion and homosexuality to show how unconstitutional the tax is. (via Amritas)

I found the first link last night after I mailed the second one to you. Nice that you found it independently. (It was embedded in the second Power Line post, but it took me hours to get around to opening it.)

I was initially upset at the AIG bonuses. The legal can also be evil. But then I learned the rest of the story.

Then again, maybe it's all spin. I trust big business as much as I trust the government. The gulch is the biggest group I believe in.

Nonetheless, even if the 'real' story turns out to be corporate propaganda, discriminatory taxation is a dangerous weapon in anyone's hands as well as a distraction from bigger horrors. And if the eeeevil are to be taxed, why not give tax breaks to the gOOd - to those in Left-leaning professions?
