I wonder if this normalizes home prices for size...doesn't look like it. House sizes have been getting much larger in recent decades, and that surely accounts for *some* of the price increase, though it's not the major factor.

Also, higher home prices aren't good for everybody. For young people who haven't yet bought their first house, high prices are very painful. This should be obvious, but is usually lost sight of in discussions about housing.
