IT'S TRUE, I DIDN'T SLEEP LAST NIGHT

Is America Really Going To Do This?

There are, alas, many in the west for whom all this is music to their ears. Whether through wickedness, ideology, stupidity or derangement, they firmly believe that the ultimate source of conflict in the world derives at root from America and Israel, whose societies, culture and values they want to see emasculated or destroyed altogether. They are drooling at the prospect that an Obama presidency will bring that about. The rest of us can’t sleep at night.

Let's hold off on the restless nights till after the election, this isn't over by a long shot.

Stay positive, damn it!

I had a thing to go to at the library tonight. There's early voting there and the place was packed. Walking through the crowd, I was impressed by how all walks of life were represented. I think a John Cougar Mellonhead song was going through my head briefly.

Then I went outside and way too close to the front doors there were some young girls chanting "Obama Obama". Yeah, I don't think that's legal or kosher or something. Reminded me a little of Charlie Manson's "family" outside his trial...

It amazes me how this election has made some folks on the left abandon all sense of propriety. I listened to someone who wouldn't break a single law under other circumstances think it was "cool" to take money from a friend in Europe to donate to Obama. She thought it was just nifty that the person in Europe was so interested in our election. I mentioned that it was just a little illegal.

Of my friends on the right, the most drastic thing I've heard of is a friend who is a resident alien that decided it was time to apply for citizenship so at least he can vote in the next election. I'm going to buy him a nice cold American beer when it all goes through.
