Reader Glen pointed out a blog post that really made me smile. It's a wonderful story of a husband's love for his wife, a love that keeps them strong deployment after deployment.

When Sean returned to Texas for his funeral, I was given a small black bag of the items he was wearing when he was killed. Inside was his watch, a couple of saint medallions, and a tube of green Lubello chapstick. I thought it was odd at first but I was not thinking very clear. I keep the chapstick in my nightstand and every once in a while I will go put it on my lips and I feel so close to him. Maybe I need to write about it on my blog. Thanks for sharing!
I'm at work....I can't cry at work.
Even though my husband is only in another state right now, reading this hits home!j
Heidi,
I love Lobello chapstick. Sarah first sent me some when she lived in France. She has sent it to me from Sweden when she lived there and now from Germany. It's a special way to remember my daughter when I go to bed at night and when I leave the house in the morning. Even though she is far away, just putting it on my lips makes me smile and think of her. And it feels good too!
